FREE Awareness Rag Quilt E-Pattern

I am dedicatiing this pattern to Retha Simpson. Retha was murdered by her husband, thus my first awareness quilt was one for domestic violence awareness as seen in the picture below. The pattern is perfect for nearly any awareness campaigne.

The quilt is fairly simple to complete. Size is about 51" x 57" when finished. I have provided two sets of supply lists and instructions - one for a rag quilt with batting and one for a rag quilt without batting.

MEANING OF THE COLORS:
The ribbon color on the quilt is of course the color of the awareness ribbon. The black represents the evil or the disease. The reason for the ribbon being mainly in the black area is one of two reasons. It can either depict hope in the darkness of the evil or disease OR that the loved one lost the battle. The bright or happy shades represent the release of pain – either from recovery or crossing over.
