Ladies Friday Gathering Week 3

Below are a few things I'm sharing for this week's LFG bloghop. Join us at the following link: http://pinkpotpourri.blogspot.com/2010/09/ladies-friday-gathering-week-3.html.

Share something you learned this week.
I read an article this week about age and brains. Although we do tend to forget things like names and phone numbers as we get older, we tend to deal with crises better. Throughout the years, our brains have learned from experience how to deal with problems quickly as they arise. I have noticed that and was glad to see it confirmed. So that saying about us getting wiser with age is true!

Share one of your great cleaning or cooking tips.
Plan out a weekly menu to make cooking the meals less of a hassle throughout the week. I buy everything I'll need for one week's worth of meals in one grocery trip. Then I can plan the meals according to the other plans I have for the week. It's good to plan a few quick meals just in case you have an unexpected emergency arise. If no emergencies arise, you will simply have a few quick meals on hand that will allow you to finish earlier on some days.

I love my Brother sewing machine. I have owned 3 sewing machines and all of them have been Brother. I bought the first simple one because I was just learning to sew. Later I bought a computerized Brother. I was trying to clean out some crevices with a doll needle (while the machine was on) and shorted that one out. I bought another computerized Brother and I no longer clean my machine with the machine plugged up. Ü If I decide to advance, Brother will be the brand I will check on first. Their sewing machines are affordable while sustaining quality.

Did you do something fun this week?
Yes! My younger son and I went shopping with my mom.
