I will be very happy to hand quilt a lovely heirloom for you. I have created a price chart that is easy to understand. Simply select your quilt size or style and the work that you need me to complete. Pieces must be 2 ½” square or larger. There will be a 25% charge for quilts that require any pieces smaller than 2 ½” or triangular pieces. If your quilt is extremely odd in size (say a long, skinny table runner) I’ll be happy to quote you a price. Just email me. Obviously the more you’re able to do yourself, the less you will have to pay me.

I'll even accept cheater quilts if that's your wish. In case you're wondering, a cheater quilt is where a quilt design is printed onto fabric. No piecing is necessary. Just add batting and backing to quilt!

You provide all of the supplies; I will supply you with links to online stores so I can help you choose your supplies if you wish. Many companies will go ahead and ship to me so you will save on shipping fees. I can also help you select patterns or kits. Shipping fees back to you will be exact. In most cases I will not know how long it will take to complete each quilt. After I work on your quilt for a day or two I may be able to give you a finish date. This will be more likely to happen with the smaller quilts.

All fabric must be washed before I begin. Piecing of the quilt will include pressing the seams as I complete each row. Basting is the process where the layers (backing, batting, and top) are held together for quilting. I do this with a basting adhesive. Not only does that save you money by saving me time but it also makes everything lie nice and flat for the quilting process. The adhesive washes out. Quilting in the ditch means that I will quilt where your seams meet. If you want a fancier quilt design, you must supply the template(s) and a fee of .02 cents to .10 cents per square inch will be added to the total depending on how complicated the stitch is. I reserve the right to refuse anything too complicated to quilt by hand. Single binding is done by cutting the backing long enough to be folded over the front to bind the fabric. This is the easiest, cheapest, and my favorite way to bind. Double binding is the stuff (known as bias tape) that you purchase pre-made and each side has to be sewn to the front and back of the quilt. I will not make bias tape. By requesting a second quilter, your quilt will get done slightly faster since two of us will be working on your quilt. This does not necessarily mean that we will get to yours faster.

I do require 25% non-refundable minimum down payment to hold your place for our first come first serve policy. You will be placed on our waiting list when we receive all supplies and your down payment. All quilts will be given the same care and attention so we greatly appreciate your patience.
